Spearmint Essential Oil: Uses & Recipes
Share
The truth is, I am a diehard peppermint fan. I like a little mint in my foot care routine before I put my shoes on. It’s for my sweaty, stinky feet (actually, just one foot, lol!).
I was feeling pretty tired one morning. My bottle of peppermint was empty, so I grabbed spearmint instead. I inhaled it from a drop in my palms and rubbed it into my foot. As I was driving to class, I noticed I was in a better mood. The fresh minty scent was a nice change from my usual peppermint, and it got me curious about other ways to use spearmint.
How to Use Spearmint Essential Oil
If you like mint but want to change things up from peppermint, give spearmint a try. Start with it on its own in your diffuser or add Wild Orange if you like a little citrus with your mint.
If you enjoy a minty scent as part of your foot care routine, you can use spearmint diluted in a carrier oil. Fractionated coconut oil is my favorite. If you’re new to mixing oils, I walk through the supplies and steps in How to Make a Roller Blend With Essential Oils.
